Disney has done it again. They’ve given us a spectacular show that we all are excited about. The rags to riches story with the flying magic carpet has been brought to life with this on stage play. It’s the tale of a poor young man, named Aladdin, who finds a magic lamp that unleashes a Genie after he rubs it. The Genie grants him three wishes. He uses his new found powers to turn himself into a wealthy prince, so he can marry the princess of his dreams.
The story continues with bumps in the road as Aladdin makes his life’s transition. Upon being caught in his lie, he is jailed. When he escapes Aladdin carelessly discards the genie lamp allowing someone else with evil intent to retrieve the lamp and be granted three wishes. Aladdin uses the malicious person’s greed to his advantage and cleverly tricks the person into making their last wish to become the Genie so they will redeem its powers, but this instantly confines the evil doer to the genie lamp for eternity (until someone rubs it).
Aladdin is ultimately revered as a hero and marries the princess of his dreams without needing to fake his identity. It is a story with the perfect ending.
